Good afternoon, everyone

On December 11th, Matsuishi-sensei laboratory had year-end party and I joined with them. We had early year-end party because everyone  will have some work and so busy. We went to Chinese restaurant at 19.00 by Moo-moo taxi. The taxi was so cute. We drank beer and said ''Kampai". The foods in this restaurant were delicious. We finished this party at 22.00. This is my impression for year-end party in Japan.

On December 12th, I went to the Red-brick warehouse with my friends for shopping in Christmas day. The weather was very cold at this night. I saw the Christmas festival at here. I looked a big Christmas's tree at bay. It was a big tree and very beautiful. I took a photo with santa girls. She was very pretty. I was funny. The shop in warehouse had many kind of dolls and I bought a Rilakkuma. While I came back to Leopalace, the weather became snow fall and strong wind. It was very cold which I never felt cold like this.

Presentation Day

Hello everyone!

I hope we always keep spirit everyday. Last week i presented my research progress. It was the second time i became presenter in our seminar's laboratory. As you know that, one of my expectation to follow PARE Program is to finish my research thesis. I spent about 20 minutes to finish my presentation. After that, the participant of seminar include my supervisor give me several questions. Some of them have a good solution for me to correct my research. I am happy to discuss with my lab's friend and my supervisor especially. Sometime we need some ideas from the other person to open our mind. I think, the activity like seminar is very good to encourage my knowledge, my public speaking, and my confidence. I hope, it will be benefit for me when i enter the real world in industry. Thanks God, i was a lucky person that have a good chance. I have good friends and good supervisor that always guide and give me motivation and solution for my thesis.

Yesterday, i did my experiment about SEM (Scanning Electrone Microscope). It was the last method that i used in my thesis research. How poor i am, because something trouble with my experiment. When the first time i did the experiment, my supporter forgot to make sure the position of samples. So that's why, my samples jumped into the deep of tools. We couldn't see the image of samples because the samples out of the map. We didn't realize before my supporter checked the samples and the tools. We're laughed together. He apologized repeatedly. For the consequence, i must do again the preparation of SEM's samples before using the tools. That's okay. It is called experiment that just talking trial and error. I hope next experiment will be success.

See you in the next story. Ganbatte^^

Hello everyone. At this time, I am looking for English class to improve my English skill. Because of my English grammar are very terrible (I think you already know if you read my report). So I was obtain greatly direct by Dr. John Bower, maybe I will start English class on January. As for my life in Hakodate during this time, I have interesting in fish there are not found in Thailand. There it is sturgeon fish as a source of expensive food that we call caviar, made by fermentation sturgeon roe(egg) in salt before package to can. This is high valuable goods(20,000 yen/100 g.) for sent to worldwide.

                                        The sturgeon in Hakodate campus

But it would be difficult to treat sturgeon in Thailand. There are several problem such as, this fish must to stay in temperate zone, so they need cold water(around 15-20 degrees centigrade). While the average temperature in Thailand  around 28 degrees centigrade. If I plan to culture this fish in Thailand, I must to keep them in air-condition room and pay a lot of money than benefit from them.

Life and Research in Sapporo Lately

Lately, the weather has been gone very confusing. One day, I can see rain snow. The next day, snow is gone and there is sun. The next day, it rains heavily. And it always change every day, so I have to always keep up with the weather report, which was very accurate in Japan.

But that doesn't make me hate Sapporo. In fact, I love this city. This city has the metropolitan lifestyle of a major cities, but it is not crowded, no traffic jam, and very safe, so that I can concentrate on my main task, which is to study and do research. I also can sleep peacefully at night, because I am not consumed by anger due to traffic jam, just like what happened to me in Indonesia.

My resarch is progressed very fast in here, in fact, last month, I almost finish that, but then my supervisor from Indonesia came, and he told me that my method is too simple, and ordered me to change the method. Now my research becoming very confusing, but still manageable, thanks to my Sensei's support and available learning resources here.

In fact, i just did the progress report presentation to Sensei. Well i won't explain the progress in here, since it will becoming so boring, but I will give the video to see..

Anyway, I am really really sorry also for the Pare Office that I forgot to write blogs, i really appreciate that you remind me.

Thank youuu and see you again...

My Activities Last Weekend (8 December 2013)

Last weekend, I was very bored in my dormitory room and therefore, I decide to go outside. I also feel that I really miss this item

The name of that item is KECAP, or sweet soy sauce. It's been 5 monts since I was here,  that I haven't taste kecap. So I decided to search for this item in a Hallal Shop in Kita 19. Due to its distance, and it's very cold outside, I also too lazy to walk, therefore I borrow bicycle from my dormitory friend, Cahyo.

After getting the bike, I feel like I want to travel around for a bit, therefore I bike to Odori park, the place where I can put my mind in peace, because the park is really peaceful to sit and daydream. When I arrived at the Odori park, I see that there was festival. The name of the festival is in Kanji, but I managed to google about the festival, and discover that the name of the festival is

Sapporo White Illumination and Munich Christmas Market

If you want complete description, please open this link http://www.sapporo-tourguides.com/information/sapporo-white-illumination-munich-christmas-market-in-odori-park.html

At that festival, I saw many booth that sold many christmas item, such as sculpture, christmas's tree accesorices, bolshoi doll (Russian Doll), etc, but I didn't see anyone sold christmas tree. Since I was live in dorm and don't have christmas tree, so I do not shop for the christmas item. But I really enjoy the food

The food was GREAT

I try jingisiukan sausage. I am very dissapointed when I discover that there is serious size disrepancy between the size in the image and the size in the reality. In the image, it look very big until I though that if I ate that, I won't need to have diner anymore, but it turned out that the size is very small, like ordinary sausage, but the taste is very good. Although i do believe that this is non hallal food.

After jingisukan sausage, I bought roasted chicken. The chicken is roasted in a oven, in which the chicken is rotated around a fire, and when i eat that, it really tastes great. Like I can still feel the juiciness and tenderness of the chicken, fresh from the oven.

That's it from me, see you on the next post.

Thank you,
