Engineering sports day

26th June, Engineering faculty has a sports day. I also participate this program. This is my first time to joining sports day in Japan. Some sports I have read in Manga but I never see the real one. It's very funny. I love to watch 'Karimono Kyousou'. It is the one kind of sport that the competitor has to find someone who has things which wrote in the paper. I also join 'Tamaire', the sport which a lot of people try to throw bolls in to the basket in 30 seconds. Team which have the largest ball would be the winner.

In the end of the sports day, I also join the sports day party. I ate Japan food and drunk beer. This is a very good experince for me. I hope in the future, I can join Japan sports day again.

Life in Hokkaido ( Hakodate ),Japan.

Hello. every one, Let 's me introduce myself first, my name is Tony, I come from Thailand. now I am take a PARE-long term program in Hakodate (Hokkaido), and this is my first post of story. I have even been to read some history about Hakodate. Hakodate is is a port-city located in Oshima sub-prefecture, Hokkaido. Japan. It is the capital city of Oshima sub-prefecture. Hakodate is a good place for me. and this city has many places for tourism. from I arrive and stay in Hakodate in first day until today, I have many story in Hakodate to every one. but for today, I would like to tell about ยlaces that impressed me at first time in Hakodate. Hakodate has a famous place about " Goryoukaku " On 25 April to 26 April 2015, I went to Goryoukaku.

Goryoukaku is a star fort in the Japanese city of Hakodate on the island of Hokkaido. It was the main fortress of the short-lived Republic of Ezo, and it was designed in 1855 by Takeda Hisaburou. His plan was based on the work of the French architect (Sébastien Le Prestre de Vauban)
.It is shaped like a five-pointed star. This allowed for greater numbers of gun emplacements on its walls than a traditional Japanese fortress, and reduced the number of blind spots where a cannon could not fire. The fort was built by the Tokugawa shogunate to protect the Tsugaru Strait against a possible invasion by the Russian fleet.

Today, Goryoukaku is a park. It has been declared a Special Historical Site and is home to the Hakodate city museum. The grounds are a favorite spot for Hanami ( flower viewing, cherry-blossom viewing ) in spring. And Lucky for me about On 3 May to 6 May 2015, I went to Goryoukaku again and on this week (3 May to 6 May 2015 ) is a good time for Sakura-flower, and I walk around Goryoukaku park for see Sakura-flower and many Japanese people and other counties people's activities in Goryoukaku park. It's very beautiful and wonderful!!! Please enjoy my photo every one, and See you again next time, I will come to tell a good story again next time. Thank you!!

Bye bye...See you again every one , (^o^)/

Wonderful Hokkaido (part 1)

Do you know who the first Japanese astronaut is? The answer is Mamoru Mohri. He was born in Yoichi, a wonderful town in Hokkaido. Yoichi is not only famous due to birthplace of the first cosmonaut from Japan, but also it provides a lot of attractive things that are heavily recommended to experience.
In middle of June 2015, I and my lab mates had a chance to travel in west side of Sapporo. Yoichi is the first town that we visited. Located in on the southeastern of the Shakotan peninsula, Yoichi is close to some municipalities such as Otaru, Niki, Akaigawa, and Furubira. Additionally, it is also attributed to Nikka Whisky, a predominant alcoholic beverage in Japan. Furthermore, fresh fish-based foods are also the most interesting part in Yoichi. Fresh Salmon with a unique texture and white lines on the meat and salmon eggs (ikura) are indispensable. To taste this food, we visited Kakizaki, a combination of seafood restaurant and fresh fish market. Itokodon is a great menu here, although it is less famous than another fresh salmon-added food.

Itokodon in Yoichi
Mishima "pink blossom" garden
The next destination is Kutchan town (Niseko). We visited “a pink garden”, attributed to the pink color of Shibazakura which covers the garden. Mr. Kazuo Mishima has created this garden and dedicated it for public recreation. No entry charge is given for all visitors. Mishima Garden is like a man-made heaven, blanketed in magnificent Shibazakura (pink moss) blossoms. Furthermore, a tremendous landscape combined with Mt. Yotei panorama mesmerize tourists and bring them great happiness. However, it was so cloudy which “hide” the mountain. This spot was even attended by one couple for wedding pictures (do you want to try?).
Unfortunately, full attraction of these pink blossoms is not available all years. I think May and June are the best time for coming here where tiny pink Shibazakura flowers will blanket this area. For this reason, making a good plan and scheduling is required.
Enjoy the trip
