27 Days Left, what's this means?, it means 27 days left for me before i go back to my country. 27 days left to enjoy the snow, spend time with my friends here, do research in my Laboratory and get the lecture from my Sensei and still many activities to do in this 27 days like attending the Introduction to PARE III, etc. lastly, I have to use this 27 days as efficient as i can and enjoy this time left. I know we don't have much time left, but i hope we all will enjoy this 27 days left (for me).

Hatsumode and Hatsuhinode
Konnichiwa,
Happy New Year everyone, how was your fuyuyasumi (ふゆやすみ), it's great isn't it?.
Today i would like to write about my activities during New Year, and this is my first experience to celebrate the new year outside of my country. So, i didn't know the tradition about new year activities in Japan. Then, i search the information in the internet and i found Hatsuhinode and Hatsumode. So, i decided to do Hatsuhimode and Hatsumode.
1. HATSU HINODE, (初日の出)
Hatsuhinode is seeing the sun rises in the first day of the New Year. So, i decided to do the Hatsuhinode at Moiwayama. I go to Moiwayawa using cable car, and arrived there at 6.30 AM. when i arrived there the place is very crowded, so i didn't get the good place for see the Hatsuhinode, and the weather is cloudy, so it's hard to see the sun. but after waiting 30 minutes, finally the sun has seen and many people take the photo of that scenery. it's very beautiful there but very cold hahaha. Then after that i go to Shrine for to see Hatsumode.
2. Hatsumōde (初詣, hatsumōde)
Hatsumode is the first shrine visit on the New Year. I arrived there at 12.00 AM, and i see many people gathered there to do the praying, outside of the shrine there are many people selling food that looks very delicious, so i bought many of the food ( takoyaki, dorayaki, grilled squid, potato cake ), after finishing my food, i go back to my dormitory.
So, that;s all of my story, thank you very much..
Good Bye 2014, and Welcome 2015.. Hope we will do much better in this year.
Yoi Otoshiyo..
HU - ITB Symposium
Konnichiwa, Mada des.
Last week, there are Symposium in Hokkaido University with ITB ( Institut Teknologi Bandung ) held by Faculty of Engineering. In this Symposium there are 8 Lecturer from ITB comes, which is 4 of them is my lecturer in Mechanical Engineering faculty. In this Symposium every person present about their research and introduce about the education system in their University, so we can exchange the information and compare the education system.
Snow
Hi, how are you ?, Today, when i wake up and see through the window that the snow falls very heavily, so i decided to not come to my japanese class and waiting for the snowfall to calm down. as time goes by, the snowfall frequency is higher and higher, and the temperature become colder and colder. Now, Sapporo become white and very slippery, be careful if you walk in the snow (especially when the snow is melting) because it's very slippery.
We do 3 kind of dancing, the first one is asmaradana performed by Charisa, Dhina, and Utami. Then, Jaeho dancing performed by Isma Rosyida, this dancing is very funny and make japanese people laughing. and then the last dancing is poco poco performed by every one and with this song we performing the flash mob, and it's sucess.
Thank You for reading,
See you next time.
Weekend Activities
こんにちわ みんなさん
Every saturday or sunday(どようび と にちようび) in akashia sports center, International students of Hokkaido University always gathered to playing sports, we ( i and shofa ) always join the event because we are very like sports especially Futsal. it starts at 10 am to 1 pm, in that 3 hours we divided the time into 1 hour for 1 kind of sport, we always play Badminton, Futsal, and Volleyball.
That's is what i always do on the weekend, playing sports with other international students. if you want to join, just came to Akashia in Kita 22 Higashi 1, next event will be held on Saturday 13th December 10 am - 1 pm.
lets play together :).
Okay, thank you for reading, and see you again for the next session.
ありがとう ございます
22 November 2014
November 22 2014,
Students from Indonesia that have lived in Japan, make an event called "Indonesia Cultural Night" or Malam Budaya. In that event we (Pare Students : Azis, Sofa, Sugi, Dailami, Ulfi, Laura, Yeni, Ria) showed a performance with the Indonesian Traditional Instrument that we called "Ängklung". So, i don't have to explain about angklung because Rara-san have explained it, and then we played the Indonesian drama about Roro Jonggrang and 1000 Temple that Yunita-san has explained the story of the drama before.
We are very nervous on that day because many people come, and this is the first time i do some theatrical performance. but at last, we are very happy because many of the audience was very happy and they said they like the drama even they don't know the language.
After the drama, we take the photo together.

My master plan is to make a human waste to be useful by making it into
fuel for biogas plant and fertilizer for plant. As we know the human waste
now is stored in the septic tank and mixed with the waste water in the sewage
and it can be source of diseases for human, whereas human waste can be used
to generate electricity and become fertilizer to plant. So, As a mechanical
engineer specialist, for the beginning I can contribute to help the design of
biogas plant component such as the biogas plant generator and other tools for
biogas plant. To design the component, first I have to know the amount of
human waste produced per day, then I can calculate how many biogas such as CH4
produced, then I can design the generator capacity that fit with the amount
of the biogas produced. After that I can involved in maintenance of the
biogas plant so it will be sustain for a long time and I can improve the
efficiency of biogas plant by researching and developing the technology for
the biogas plant. The problem for the biogas plant is the cost to construct
it. But if we see the benefit of the human waste for biogas plant such as it
can reduce green house gas (GHG) as we know that CH4 GHG factor is
21 times higher than CO2, so by convert the CH4 into CO2
it will reduce the impact of GHG, biogas plant can saves fossil fuels and it
is source of renewable energy. with this many benefits I think it’s worth to
build the biogas plant and for the cost problem we can ask government to help
funding the biogas plant or we can find communities that support the green
technology to help funding our master plan.
For the fertilizer, we used the waste
after it processed from the digester, and processed to become fertilizer. As
for waste water used in our plant, it can be processed to become fresh water
by some method using a membrane to filter the waste water and the purified
water can be used for irrigation.
b.
The title I propose is “Increase efficiency for biogas plant”, based on
the article from http://www.electrigaz.com/ we know that generally the
efficiency of the biogas plant is around 25 to 40 %, so it still low and theoretically it can
increase. There are 4 method so we can improve the efficiency of the biogas
plant such as substrate pretreatment, fermentation, biogas purification,
biogas utilisation. And according to my major I choose the substrate
pretreatment method to improve the efficiency for biogas plant. Substrate
pretreatment is treatment to make the substrate (human waste) smaller and
dry, so the biogas such as CH4 will be produced more, and the time
to produce the biogas (fermentation) is faster, so it will save time and
increase the efficiency of the biogas pant, there are many ways to treat the
substrate such as ultrasonication, extruder, bursting reactor, mills, and
etc.
