Hello
everyone!
I
had a very eventful Valentine’s Day this year. In the morning, I had the
opportunity to meet with the Thai Minister of Education. He came to Japan in
order to inspect various job training centers. Our group of five Thai students,
all of whom are studying in Hakodate, were invited to go have breakfast with the
minister and his team at a local hotel. We discussed the current situation in
Thailand for about an hour while enjoying a traditional Japanese breakfast of
grilled fish, miso soup, a soft-boiled egg, salmon roe, white rice, and
natto. After finishing our meal, we took
a group photo together.
We heard that there was going to be a
fireworks display in the evening, so I, along with the same four Thai students,
took a bus down to the Red Brick Warehouse District to see it. The show went on
for about 20 minutes, and finished with a bang.
